Hyper Microsystems Leases 197,000 SF
Buffalo Grove, IL, March 31, 2009 - Hyper Microsystems has signed a one-year lease for 197,000 square feet at the recently completed $45-million Aptakisic Creek Corporate Center. The distributor and manufacturer of computer storage devices took the space in the three-building distribution complex to house excess inventory acquired in a recent purchase. The company will occupy an entire 147,000 square-foot facility and 50,000 square-feet of another 188,000 square foot building.
Hypermicro Makes Fast Work of Circuit City Inventory Moving 440,000 Items in 450 Categories
Hyper Microsystems Inc. acquired the Circuit City distressed inventory valued over $100 million from major electronics retailer, Circuit City.
The challenge confronting HYPERMICRO was 9000 pallets needed to be sorted, processed, tested and/or refurbished. And the shipments contained everything from iPods to TVs to computers, gaming systems and microwaves to vacuum cleaners.
