Product Portfolio Analyst
The Product Portfolio Analyst reports directly to company’s executive management in addition to working with sales, marketing and support personnel to ensure revenue and profit goals are met. This position is responsible for managing specific product categories or portfolios including product analysis, pricing and development of marketing strategies. Moreover, the Product Portfolio Analyst will provide analytical input into acquisition deals that typically include inventory, accounts receivable and other assets.
Description of Major Responsibilities:
Market research and pricing of inventory
Prepares wholesale offers of items in stock based on market research
Analyze performance of inventory portfolios and projects based on set goals for revenue and profitability
Interacts with IT Team on developing automation of reporting and data collection practices in the company
Matches inventory categories with customers
Suggests strategies to promote inventory for sales team and works with them on product offers
Creates reports such as P&L, performance, cash flow analysis for management use
Delivers forecasts of monthly revenue and profitability reports
Skills:
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Ability to create financial models in Excel (financial forecasting, budgeting, profitability analysis)
Project management skills
Knowledge of consumer electronics
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail; well organized
Self-starter, team member
Able to work independently
Requirements:
2 years of experience in marketing or financial analysis
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in finance or marketing
Advanced experience with Excel
Knowledge of liquidation/restructuring business is a plus
Experience with liquidation, end-of-life or refurbished items is preferred
